It's conference season and last week Kirsten and I presented at the excellent Wildlife70 conference at Trent University (my alma mater) on the value of long-term ecological and evolutionary research. Led by my PhD advisor Jeff Bowman the group arrived at a consensus statement on the value and utility of long-term population studies and came up with some options to organise researchers with interest in this type of research.
