A big welcome to Chloe, Riikka, and Evan who officially started while I was away at Wildlife70. Riikka joins us from Finland and Chloe is a New Jersey native joining by way of Switzerland where she did her Msc and worked with the Frontiers publishing group. Riikka is going to work on the ecology of local adaption to cities by grey squirrels while Chloe will explore the genetics of urban adaptation.
Evan is a local Winnipegan and will be working on characterising the population genetic structure of narwhals with collaborators at DFO for his honours research.
Recently finished honours students Kirsten and Caitlin will return this summer for squirrel trapping and finishing up and preparing their research projects with hopes of finding their way to publication.
