URBAN ECOLOGY & EVOLUTION

We work in urban spaces to explore ecological and evolutionary responses to rapid environmental change. Cities dramatically alter selection pressures and population demography through wholesale habitat change and fragmentation. We study ecology and evolution in cities with synthetic multi-species data analyses and with field based studies of local populations of urban red and grey squirrels here in Winnipeg.
